James Kouzes is a bestselling author, an award-winning speaker and "one of the 12 best executive educators in the United States," according to the Wall Street Journal. Currently he is Dean's Executive Fellow of Leadership, Leavey School of Business, at Santa Clara University, and also lectures on leadership around the world to corporations, governments, and nonprofits. Following graduation from Michigan State University, where he received a BA with honors in political science, he served as a Peace Corps volunteer from 1967 to 1969.
Barry Posner is the Accolti Endowed Professor of Leadership at the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University, where he served for 12 years as Dean. He is an internationally-renowned scholar who has published more than 100 research and practitioner-oriented articles. He received a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, a master's degree from The Ohio State University in public administration, and a Ph.D. in organizational behavior and administrative theory from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
